sudo apt-get install texlive

As usual this PPA may be removed by the commands below:

sudo apt-get install ppa-purge
sudo ppa-purge ppa:jonathonf/texlive-2019

sudo apt-get install texlive-full

Install any  version of LaTeX Editor like Kile, Miktex, Latexstudio etc

Debian based Distributions :

sudo apt-get install texlive-full



To Install   Packages through GUI

sudo apt-get install perl-tk

tlmgr -gui


tex --version

Checking package status

The universal way to check if a file is available to TeX compilers is the command-line tool kpsewhich.

$ kpsewhich tikz
$kpsewhich etoolbox.sty

Install packages in TEXLIVE
$tlmgr init-usertree
tlmgr install <pkgname>
tlmgr info <package>

tlmgr help
